Kodi is a great app for iOS that allows you to store and access various kinds of content such as TV shows, movies, songs, pictures and more. Besides, the app also lets you stream content over the internet and install third-party add-ons to your device. One of the coolest things when it comes to Kodi is that the app can be installed on both jailbroken and non-jailbroken iOS devices, eliminating the need to jailbreak your device.
In this step-by-step guide, we will walk you through the steps to install Kodi 17 on iOS 10 with or without using a jailbreak. Before we begin, make sure that you have downloaded and installed Kodi 17 and Cydia Impactor on your devices. Besides, ensure that you are running iOS 10-iOS 10.2.
Steps to install Kodi 17 without jailbreak on iPhone and iPad
Step one: Once you have Kodi 17 and Cydia Impactor installed on your device, you are now supposed to connect your iPhone or iPad to your computer using a USB cable
Step two: Once you are done, open Cydia Impactor and drag and drop the Kodi 17 IPA file you downloaded earlier onto it
Step three: You will be asked to enter your Apple ID and password, which will be sent to Apple to generate a signing certificate. Remember that you can create a secondary Apple ID if you don’t want to use your primary account
Step four: Once you are done, Cydia Impactor will begin installing Kodi 17 onto your device. When it is done, you will see the app’s icon on your home screen. After that, head to the Settings app, select General and tap on Profile
Step five: Next up, find the profile labelled with your Apple ID and tap to open it
Step six: Once you are done, tap on Trust button and launch Kodi 17 on your device
That’s it! You now can use the app to store and access various kinds of content on your iPhone and iPad.
Note that you can install Kodi 17 on a jailbroken device, but the app will crash on iOS 10, so we recommend you use the above-mentioned process.
