Apple is selling hundreds of millions of iPhone units every year. Apple iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus shipments hit 13 million units in the first three days of availability, breaking Apple’s record set by iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus with 10 million units sold. The current iPhone X has seen a strong sales performance since the launch day.
During the first three months of the year, Apple shipped more than 16 million iPhone X units. However, the Cupertino company is struggling in the Chinese smartphone market as it is facing an intense competition with local firms. It seems that Apple has a lot of work to do to reclaim some ground in China.
Apple has just announced its earnings report for the third quarter of the year. Specifically, in Q3/2018, Apple reported a strong sales performance which saw millions of iPhone units sold. The Cupertino company sold more than 43 million iPhone units, 11.5 million iPad models, and 3.7 million Macs in Q3/2018.
In total, the Cupertino company posted revenue of $53.2 billion in the third quarter of the year, which marks a 17 percent increase when compared to the same period last year. According to the report, international markets contributed up to 60 percent of all sales in Q3/2018. Tech experts say that Apple will record a boost in smartphone sales in the final quarter of the year when it announces new iPhone models.
According to sources, Apple will unveil new iPhone models in September this year and launch them to the public two weeks after the event. Apple is expected to unveil an iPhone X Plus to replace the current iPhone X on the market. The iPhone X Plus is rumored to come with a huge improvement over its previous model.
