In iOS 11, Apple removed 3D Touch App Switcher gesture, meaning that you could not launch App Switcher simply performing a 3D Touch firm press. However, with iOS 11.1, the gesture is back. All you need to do now is to 3D Touch the edge and you will enter the new iOS 11 App Switcher.

  1. Emoji suggestions while typing in Messages app

With iOS 11.1, you can get multiple emoji suggestions when typing something in the Messages app. For instance, if you type “Surprised”, you will get 3 emoji suggestions in the section under the input field. This is a great addition, as it offers more options to spice up your messages.

  1. Better battery life

We have heard a lot of complaints from iPhone and iPad owners that their iPhone’s battery is draining quickly after installing iOS 11.  Fortunately, iOS 11.1 includes fixes for battery issues found in the previous version.
